British Mini Day at Himley Hall  is traditionally a smashing day out for Mini enthusiasts, and 2009 was no exception. Unfortunately around 5000 people seemed to have the same idea - and most seemed to be in the traffic jam with me to get in!  Seeing at its a very special year for the Mini, (50th Birthday, just in case you didn’t know) anticipation for the show was high and The British Mini Club had certainly laid on a fine spread. This year the site for the show was slightly different to previous years to make full use of the lake and allow Himley Hall to provide a splendid backdrop to a mouthwatering display of Minis. Highlight of the show was an impressive collection of rare John Cooper Works GP Minis, parked by the lake to drool over. Seeing as only 500 were sold in the Uk - this was quite an achievement. Elsewhere a wide range of Mini were scattered around the show ground - from standard to heavily modified, either in Concours, or just on club stands.
