Mini was celebrating its 50th birthday and was having a huge bash at Silverstone race circuit and the whole world was invited to join the fun at Mini United. And 25,000 joined in the fun, many driving their Minis from as far away as Russia to enjoy the Bank Holiday British sunshine ! The party included a stunning wall-to-wall selection of Minis, including some rare concept cars, highly modified versions, displays of key cars from Mini’s history, stunts from Russ Swift, the chance to drive your own car around the famous race track, several rounds of the exciting Mini Racing Championship, loads of activities for the kids and a huge concert stage where the likes of Paul Weller played his heart out to an enthusiastic audience. Three new ‘celebration’ cars made their public debut at the show - the Mini 50 Camden, Mini 50 Mayfair, and the John Cooper Works World Championship 50. Three days of fun and action-packed Mini adventure - we loved it!
