21/9/05 - Travelling In Style
The sexy New Mini Traveller concept car rocked the Frankfurt Motor Show when it was unveiled just a few days ago. It's still just a concept but unique styling touches combined with practicality means it's likely to be another Mini success on the roads soon.
There are plenty of New Mini characteristics, and features like the bonnet scoop and twin exit exhausts make the car every ounce as aggressive as the Cooper S. This sporty exterior is met with a luxurious interior boasting a 'free-hovering' dashboard, 'suspended seats', cup holders that can keep drinks hot or cold, central navigation screen and a blend of white leather, glass fibre and the 'carbon look'. It is rumoured to have a 1.6-litre engine developed with PSA Peugeot Citroen.
It seems the New Mini Traveller will have it all, including a split double door at the rear for easy access to the luggage compartment and adjustable 'Cargobox'. The longer wheel base means there's loads of room and the car can carry four passengers easily. All we can do now is sit on the edge of our seats and wait for this fabulous idea to be realised.
